HOME PREPARATION &

HEATING INSTRUCTIONS

IMG_9675 (1).jpg

Thank you for ordering from Micklethwait Craft Meats. Now that you have some tasty Texas BBQ at home, let's help you heat those meats! For reheating meat, we highly recommend using a meat thermometer to temp your meal just right!

WHOLE BRISKET

  • HEAT: Brisket comes wrapped in food-grade plastic, butcher paper and foil. Keep all wrapping on brisket.

  • Bake at 250 degrees for 2 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 155 degrees.

  • Cooking times vary on ovens so give yourself plenty of time!

  • SLICE: Now that your brisket is nice and hot, it's time to slice it up! You always want to slice a brisket against the grain, but with a whole brisket, the direction of the grain changes throughout. To help, we recommend watching this quick video from the good folks at Thermo Works. Here's the link also: https://youtu.be/eUp1-fwrLNc

WHOLE SMOKED TURKEY

  • Remove plastic wrap, but leave turkey wrapped in butcher paper.

  • Heat in the oven at 250 degrees for 2.5 hours or until internal temperature of 155 degrees.

  • Cooking times vary, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time!

SIDES

  • Grits and Beans: keep covered and heat in the oven at 325 degrees for 45 minutes

  • Mac & Cheese, Green Bean Casserole and Stuffing: remove cover and heat  in the oven at 325 degrees for 45 minutes
