Heating Instructions

Thank you for ordering from Micklethwait Craft Meats. Now that you have some tasty Texas BBQ at home, let’s help you heat those meats! For reheating meat, we highly recommend using a meat thermometer to temp your meal just right! Ovens can vary a lot so, we recommend to start temping one hour after you put your meat in the oven.

HEATING BRISKET

  • Leave brisket wrapped in foil, place it on a sheet pan on the middle rack of oven, label side up.
  • Heat at 325° for 2 – 2.5 hrs. or until internal temperature reaches 155°F.
  • Cooking times vary on ovens so give yourself plenty of time!

SLICING BRISKET

  • SLICE: Now that your brisket is nice and hot, it’s time to slice it up! You always want to slice a brisket against the grain, but with a whole brisket, the direction of the grain changes throughout. To help, we recommend watching this quick video from the good folks at Thermo Works. Here’s the link also: https://youtu.be/eUp1-fwrLNc
